All the pots are thrown in Red Earthenware, and often have a thin coat of white slip before being bisque fired.
The glazes are all made by Paul , from his recipes, with ingredients such as tin oxide, copper carbonate, iron oxide, and of course siliceous compounds.
The glost firing is partially reduced to give the subtle pinks, reds, and lustre effect, it also means that no two pots are ever the same.
Each vase , bowl , bottle or platter is completely unique, and although similar effects can be repeated, each combination of shape and colour gives each piece of pottery it’s own special character.
