I undertake  simple repairs, but  high value or important works needs to be examined by experts, often an old family book, not  valuble in a monetary sense, but highly valued in emotion is worth repairing and rebinding to maintain the integrity and to keep it for future generations, but failing a repaira protective box or case is a solution to halt further degredation.

Any repair is always reversible and  the techniques , although seemingly radical at the start are carefully carried out using archival papers and pastes, and environmentally safe methods.
